What We Do
PIPEFITTING
PM Contracting employs Union Pipefitters through Local Union #533. They are responsible for the design, fabrication, and installation of new piping and tubing systems. Our highly skilled pipefitters repair damaged piping as well as retrofit older piping systems.
SHEET METAL
PM Contracting employs a team of Union Sheet Metal workers through Local Union #2. With a full service sheet metal company, we have the ability to fabricate, assemble and install ductwork and a wide range of other sheet metal products and equipment. Our sheet metal workers bring years of experience in repairing, replacing, and fabricating sheet metal duct systems.
24/7 SERVICE
VRF
New advances in HVAC technology continue to provide increased efficiency and occupant comfort. One of the most popular is Variable Refrigerant Flow technology. This has been a staple in Europe for the past 20 years and is now a widely accepted method of heating and cooling buildings in the US. Its most popular application is schools and office buildings where there are multiple zones of control. Besides being highly energy efficient, VRF offers dehumidification, quietness, and can easily switch from heating to cooling. PM Contracting is certified to install a number of major manufacturers systems.
MEDICAL IMAGING
MRI’s and CT’s have become a very important part of our lives and in this age of quickly advancing technology the Imaging vendors improve their equipment at a rapid pace. The newer systems provide a much higher quality of image to help our healthcare professionals quickly and accurately diagnose and treat patients. These systems are very critical and operate 24/7 independent of facility infrastructure. This requires additional high quality humidity controlled HVAC, Chillers and Cryogen exhaust. The systems that are installed have to have 100% reliability.
PM Contracting has successfully installed countless systems for all of the major vendors throughout the Missouri/Kansas and all of the surrounding states.
HVAC
Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning is the practice of regulating room temperature, humidity and air flow ensuring that a building is kept within proper ranges. As an HVAC contractor, PM Contracting specializes in the installation and maintenance of equipment such as chillers, furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, roof top units, computer room air conditioning units, and central air conditioners.
DESIGN BUILD
Most construction projects need to be designed and then installed. PM has the unique ability to mesh the HVAC design with an owners budgetary requirements. Our engineers can design a wide variety of systems such as water source heat pumps, 4-pipe hot/chilled water, and VRF technology. The design-build approach is often used to “fast track” projects thru the design phase and move quickly to construction. We work closely with the local engineering community to ensure that code requirements are met and the best HVAC design is implemented.
BACKFLOW CERTIFICATION AND INSTALLATION
Backflow certification awarded by the ASSE (American Society of Sanitary Engineering) allows us to test, inspect, service, or replace any backflow device.
ORBITAL WELDING
PM Contracting is proud to offer this highly specialized welding service. Our pipe fitters have completed rigorous training classes for orbital welding certification. True orbital welding is a process in which the tube or pipe being welded is done in a continuous 360° weld without interruption.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
The project managers at PM Contracting are responsible for the organization and management of materials, equipment, and labor in order to complete a given project within the defined scope. With quality and time constraints at the forefront of our minds, PM Contracting is sure to complete your project with success and vision.
PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
Preventive Maintenance (PM) is defined at PM Contracting as a program in which wear, tear, and change are anticipated; and continuous corrective actions are taken to ensure peak efficiency and minimize deterioration. PM involves a planned and controlled program of systematic inspection, adjustment, lubrication, and replacement of components as well as performance testing and analysis. The result of a successful preventive maintenance program extends the life of the facilities and equipment and minimizes unscheduled downtime that causes major problems. It ensures that equipment is operating properly and will improve the image of your business and decreasing repair costs, since unscheduled breakdowns are held to a minimum.
